Comando Colibrí

Comando Colibrí is a Mexico-based feminist self-defense initiative for women and other bodies in danger. Beyond self-defense training, Comando Colibrí aims to teach self-confidence, healing and group care.

Drawing inspiration from the warm, inviting and earthy colors that are omnipresent in Mexico, the new identity celebrates the arts and community and the role that women play in enriching both. Incorporating a raw and organic illustrations that represents the ever-evolving process of self-improvement.

This project was done with a group of talented women at Spotify with close collaboration with the founders, Darinka. Thank you to the core team: Ellen Pai (Sr. AD), Angeline Toh (AD), Christine Motch (Brand Manager), and more.
