Best New Artist 2020
In celebration of the Best New Artist Nominees, Spotify hosted more than 1,200 industry executives, partners, artists, and influencers at Spotify’s 4th Annual Best New Artist Party at the Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California. All 8 nominees -- Lizzo, Black Pumas, Billie Eilish, Yola, Maggie Rogers, ROSALÍA, Tank and the Bangas, & Lil Nas X -- gave arena energy-level performances for the crowd. It was the only place during Grammy week where all 8 nominees gathered and performed together, making it an incredible special occasion.
The team created a simple, elegant, flexible yet recognizably Spotify, all while letting the faces of the artists shine. Utilizing graphic elements such as unique portals in which artists are framed front and center, bold typography and a refined color palette.
The Best New Artist campaign and event honored and celebrated each of the new artists, which included out of home across Los Angeles, an LAX take over, custom social content, and significant presence in print such as Rolling Stone. Artists gave Spotify a lot of love throughout the campaign and at the event, and we are truly grateful to have been a part of celebrating the nominees and their biggest year yet.
